Golden Thread Consulting operates this website in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through website inquiries, learning services and related communications.

Information we collect

When you request a discovery call, we collect your name, business or organization name, email address, optional phone number, business challenge and desired outcome. Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry and avoid including confidential records about clients, employees or other people.

Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Website operation and security may involve technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source and cookies. If you create an account or purchase a course, the information needed to provide access and process your purchase is handled through the relevant website and payment services.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, arrange conversations, deliver requested services and learning access, maintain business records, protect the website and improve its performance. Inquiry notifications are sent to info@goldenthreadconsulting.ca. Submitting an inquiry does not by itself subscribe you to promotional emails.

BPS Fit & Readiness Assessment

The assessment collects your self-reported business answers, employee range, priorities, name, business name, role, industry, city or region, email and optional phone number. With your contact consent, we store these details, calculated scores, business performance indicators, internal qualification signals and the consent record in Squarespace, and send a notification to our business email. GTC uses them to review potential BPS fit and readiness and follow up about your assessment. These automated indicators are preliminary and are reviewed in context by GTC; they are not a Business Performance Diagnosis.

While you complete the assessment, answers are temporarily stored in this browser tab using session storage. They are restored for up to two hours, replaced as you continue, and cleared after a successful submission or when the tab’s session ends. Contact details are not saved in this browser storage. Avoid entering confidential financial figures, employee names or sensitive records. Squarespace’s reCAPTCHA spam protection may process technical browser information. Completing this assessment does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Analytics, advertising and email marketing

GTC plans to use visitor analytics, advertising measurement and email marketing. We will update this policy to identify additional services and their purposes when they are introduced, and provide any consent choices required before those services collect information. This statement does not mean that all planned tools are currently active.

Where we request your consent to promotional emails, the choice will be separate from a service inquiry. You may withdraw marketing consent using the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting us. Service-related responses may still be necessary to fulfill your request.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers for hosting, website forms, communications, course delivery and payment processing as applicable. Information may be processed or stored outside Alberta or Canada and may be subject to the laws of those locations. We may also disclose information when required or permitted by law. Contact us for information about the providers handling your information.

Retention and safeguards

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here and applicable legal or business requirements. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information. No website or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Access, correction and withdrawal

You may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about our privacy practices, raise a concern or withdraw consent, subject to applicable legal exceptions. We may need to verify your identity. Withdrawing information required for a service may limit our ability to provide that service.

Cookies and other websites

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls presented on this website. Blocking some cookies may affect login or other features. Linked websites and third-party services have their own privacy policies.
